How to be a Guest at an Indian Wedding?
We all love Indian weddings, from the sangeet, garba, to baraat and then the ceremony. We all love to hang out with our friends and family and catch up with who we havent seen a long time. Being a guest at an Indian wedding can be challenge at times. It can be long, we get hungry, some people attention span is only short and we start chatting. Here is 3 ways on how to be a guest at an Indian wedding:
- Give Respect: Keep the chatting outside of ceremony room. The couple has taking the time to invite you. Give respect to the priest, the couple and the professional photo/videographer. All the little conversation turn to loud ones and the priest has to ask for everyone to be silent.
- Cell Phone Photos: Yes we all want the perfect picture to post on social media. Be mindful of being infront or near the professionals. The client has paid a lot of money and time in getting the shots they want.
- We cannot please everyone: Here and there you have an guest maybe a kaki or kaka complaing that the style of the mandap is blocking their view from the wedding. However it is not your wedding, it is the client style and its their wedding.
Indian weddings sometime beside showcasing the couple prefrences the parents are a big influncers in putting ideas out there.
